With a curated catalog featuring brands like Valentino, Stella McCartney, and Missoni, Olivela operates at the intersection of high fashion and high impact. It’s a deeply values-driven brand, but one where taste, not altruism, ultimately converts.

The Challenge

Olivela’s catalog spans a nuanced range of aesthetics: from globally recognized luxury houses to niche artisanal designers. Some shoppers are drawn by the brands, some by the story, and many by both. But across the board, the core UX challenge was this:

How do you show each shopper the most compelling products for them - instantly, and with precision - when taste varies so widely and trends shift fast?

Legacy rules-based merchandising, manual product sequencing, and generic bestsellers weren’t cutting it. Olivela needed a system that could merchandise in real-time, per user, not by cohort, not by persona, not by guesswork.

Our Approach
